Dooties is a baby-care tracking application that helps caregivers log feeds, sleep, and nappy changes. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the data needed to operate the service:

Account information — your name and email address, obtained via Google Sign-In through Auth0.
Baby-care events — the feeding, sleep, and nappy-change records you create.
Technical session data — authentication tokens stored locally on your device to keep you signed in.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

The app stores authentication tokens in your browser's local storage solely to maintain your session. No advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies are used.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

Authenticate you and keep your session active.
Store and retrieve the baby-care records you enter.
Provide any sharing features you choose to enable.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

Your data is shared only with the following services that are necessary for the app to function:

Auth0 — handles sign-in. Auth0's own privacy policy applies to the identity data they process.
Google — provides Google Sign-In. Google's privacy policy applies to the OAuth sign-in flow.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication uses industry-standard OAuth 2.0 / PKCE and short-lived signed JWTs. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The app is intended for use by caregivers (adults). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
